We make 3D cakes, photo cakes, stacked fondant cakes, and more!
This butler cake was made with a pipe armature and both modeling chocolate and fondant. This cake took 30 hours to complete. Hopefully your cake won’t take that long, but sculpted cakes do require a lot of labor and can be pricy. If you don’t have the budget for a sculpted cake, I can suggest alternative cake ideas that will still give you a WOW cake and keep your wallet happy.

Design consultation
I interview my customers to learn as much as possible about what they are looking for in a cake design. If there are photos of cakes my customer likes, then those are reviewed. I also determine the number of servings the cake needs to yield, the date of the event as well as the customer’s budget.
Drawing
I prepare a detailed cake plan which includes sizes, colors, flavors and edible accessories that I would make and present this to the customer. The design is reviewed with the customer to be sure the cake I’ve detailed is exactly what they want, making changes as necessary.
Price Quote
After the cake design is completely worked out, and there are no more changes to be made, I present my customer with a written price quote.
Pricing for cakes is based on the number of servings required, cake ingredient costs, and the amount of labor required. Accessories for cakes are hand made from a variety of materials, sometimes from gumpaste, fondant, modeling chocolate, edible photo sheets, Sugarveil™ and/or silicone molded chocolates. These are expensive necessities which all help make my customers cakes look awesome.
Flavors
Not all cake flavors are appropriate for carving into 3D cakes. Cakes need to be dense enough to hold together while being carved and sturdy enough to hold the weight of the fondant or modeling chocolate covering. Fillings for carved cakes are limited to butter creams or ganache, as cake will not be refrigerated while it’s being worked on for so many hours. I will help you pick a flavor based on the amount of carving required for your sculpted cake.
Deposit Collected
After I get the thumbs up on the cake, a 25% nonrefundable deposit is collected to hold your cake date. The balance of the order is due when the cake is picked up.
Delivery
Heavenly Bites is happy to deliver your cake to your local area event for a nominal delivery fee based on the travel time/distance. If you require delivery, please ask for a delivery quote when placing your cake order.
